Quickstart
From this Project to a remote computer.
opencloudbox gives a local coding agent a separate computer. After one-time setup, the first useful moment is a Project, a ready Session, and one remote command result.
opencloudbox is in technical preview. The commands below describe the locked v0.1 interface; the verified package and hosted MCP connection paths will be published here when access opens.
Start the first Session.
The shortest path keeps setup visible instead of pretending the product begins at a magic command.
Install and sign in
The planned package name is opencloudbox. Account setup and sign-in happen once per device.
$ npm install -g opencloudbox
$ ocbox login
Create the Project
Run from a repository to use filtered file upload, or pass a repository URL for remote clone.
$ ocbox init
$ ocbox start --repo https://github.com/you/project
Execute remotely
The Session owns the command, process, and remote workspace. Your editor and coding agent remain local.
$ ocbox exec npm test All checks passed exit 0
One control plane, three surfaces.
Choose the entry point that fits the work. They operate on the same account, Projects, and Sessions.
Sessions
Secrets
Hosted MCP exposes explicit Session tools to a coding agent without a local CLI install.
Web app provides secrets, visibility, lifecycle control, usage, and recovery.
Select the infrastructure relationship.
The provider choice changes ownership and billing, not the Project or Session model.
opencloudbox supplies compute and handles the provider relationship.
provider: ocboxThe provider account is yours. Its credential remains on the local device.
provider: daytonaProject movement is explicit.
Start from a Git repository or selected local files. opencloudbox does not silently perform bidirectional merge.
Use ocbox sync diff before pulling remote changes. The CLI should make the file boundary legible before it changes your Project.
CLI command contract.
A compact reference to the v0.1 surface. Availability can differ during technical preview.
ocbox initCreate local project configuration.
ocbox startStart a Session and prepare the Project.
ocbox exec <command...>Run a command in the active Session.
ocbox statusInspect the current Project and Session.
ocbox lsList available Sessions.
ocbox stopStop compute and preserve according to provider policy.
ocbox destroyDestroy the Session and its remote workspace.
ocbox snapshotCreate a provider-supported workspace snapshot.
ocbox sync pushSend selected Project files explicitly.
ocbox sync diffPreview local and remote file differences.
ocbox sync pullRetrieve selected remote changes.
ocbox env setCreate or update a workload-secret reference.
Prepare the local agent.
Codex is the first supported coding-agent workflow. Claude Code follows the same local-agent, remote-execution model.
$ ocbox agent setup codex
$ ocbox agent doctor
